Here’s how far my August sprite challenge went! A whole 4 days!! Click the image a bit more info on them. Maybe I’ll try this again soon.
Nothing short of awesome. I was with some really rad people. Especially my girlfriend, who is the ultimate waifu of them all (ginauwc). Met Alex Ahad/o-8, who was awesome and even asked me for my business card. Didn’t have one :C but maybe he’ll find this post.
- Day 1: Simon Petrikov (Adventure Time)
- Day 2: fancy Scout and Ms. Pauling (Team Fotress 2)
Thinking of completing more compositions with seanhicks, like our AT collage, and going on an artist alley tour next year. Definitely hitting up PAX East, so gotta get my business cards ready.
Every day for the month of August I’ll be spriting a random character in a random style.
Adventure Time collaboration between Sean Hicks (coloring) and me (lines and composition) from 2012.
Follow him! He’s an amazing artist and we plan on creating much more pieces like this over the summer.
Finally sprited these guys. The diver, the professor, and the mechanic! Hope you like them, because I’m off the sprite the rest of the game.
The XX - Intro/John Lennon - Hold On/The Beatles - Don’t Let Me Down
Covers we performed for Paolo Sera Josef. He’s an incredible guy on a journey to beat cancer. If I end up finding a cleaner version of our performance I’ll upload that. My clap samples were too loud haha.
Ryan (bass), Jon (guitar), ME (synth), Leo (drums), respectively from left to right.
Steve and I are taking another month to flesh-out and complete Drill Bunny so we can release them on mobile devices. Chacket is going to need a team to help him upgrade his drill to dig deeper.
I’m thinking of calling the mechanic Emmett, and the professor Felicity. Names are still a work in progress, still need last ones.
Chacket Valleyparker: DRILL BUNNY
Me and Steve Richey's Ludum Dare 29 entry for the theme “Beneath the Surface.” I did all the music and art (besides the apples, Steve’s kids drew them!). And Steve provided all the code and sfx.
Check it out. It’s pretty fun.
We’re thinking of fleshing it out later and releasing it as a full game.
